TD Berlin: FUTURE RULES

Welcome to FUTURE RULES, a playful date night for a hopeful future. In a world where everything is at stake, not just money, work, care or nature, the performance collective Frauen und Fiktion invites the future itself onto the stage: in drag, in glamor, in doubt. There she confronts her ex-lovers, her old ideals and new relationship models. And she has to decide: Who does she want to go on with - and how?

FUTURE RULES borrows tongue-in-cheek from popular TV dating formats such as "Bachelor/Bachelorette", "Prince/ss Charming" and streaming hits such as "Too Hot to Handle", "Perfect Match" and "Love is Blind". In a casual game show style, the play deals with fundamental questions of our coexistence and translates complex topics on capitalist language, money design, feminist economics as well as performance and time justice into playful formats. Chanteuse Géraldine Schabraque leads through the evening in the role of FUTURE (of Economy) and, inspired by jazzy rhythms, chansons and pop dance songs, transforms herself into diverse versions of herself. This show removes pessimism from the ground and opens up new hope for a more social, just and sustainable future from the perspective of free fall.With FUTURE RULES, women and fiction conclude their trilogy CASH CLUB. Over three years of intensive research and interviews, they have collected visions for a different way of dealing with money, work, care and living together.
