Cocktails in Berlin
A large selection of Cocktails is part of the basic equipment in every club or bar today! From the classics to our own creations to exotic ones, everything is served. The colorful mixtures are made from several ingredients, mostly with alcohol and ice in a shaker or glass (shaken or stirred...!)
The origin of the drink comes from the English and is actually called only mixed drink. The further origin and the word source are not one hundred per cent proven. The fact is, however, that before the Cocktail became popular in Germany, it had long been in England and the States!
Most cocktails have very illustrious names, some of them can be ordered worldwide with identical ingredients: Caipirinha, Sex on the Beach or Pinacolada for example. Of course, at the innumerable counters of the world there are also own creations of the Keeper in each quantity. In general, Cocktails are divided into characteristic groups, the highest separation is the alcohol content (with/without).
The much larger group are the alcoholic mixed drinks. A distinction is made between short and long drinks according to their volume. An important criterion of the classification are ingredients (rum, whisky, brandy, tequila, gin...) or the combination of ingredients: Sours, Bitters, Highballs etc.
