The composer portrays one season of the year in each of the four concerts and masterfully depicts the typical moods, natural phenomena and festivals in spring, summer, autumn and winter. Hardly any other baroque work is played and recorded so often to this day.

The musicians - above all the violinist Anna Barbara Kastelewicz - let mosquito swarms buzz in the "Four Seasons", sources murmur and streams rush.
