WELTKONZERTE: Mischpoke - Klezmer High Live

Mischpoke takes their audience through the ups and downs of life: joy of playing, tempo, wit and charm, but also melancholy and depth characterize the sound of Mischpoke.

"Di Eyne Velt" - is the name of the new programme of the Klezmer band, which has meanwhile been acclaimed and sold out far beyond its home town of Hamburg. In the new program Mischpoke continues their mixture of different styles and intercultural influences, without forgetting the spirit of the Klezmorim: Sometimes traditional klezmer, in the medley "Happy Klezmorim", then sometimes romanian-fiery in "Hora Martisorului" or jazzy in "Oyf der zuniker zayt fun der gas".

In the epic piece "Chant" Mischpoke pays homage to the Jewish composer and violinist Paul Kirmann. This versatility does not only inspire Klezmer fans. "Az felker, groys un kleyn, zoln kenen dos farshstsyn - All peoples of the world should be able to understand this", so it says in the "Lidele in yidish" - just "Di Eyne Velt".
