The idyllic Schönwalde estate lies in Havelland, just outside Berlin. Leaseholder Dr. Inge Schwenger, doctor, entrepreneur and polo enthusiast, has invested a lot of time, energy and even more money in the estate in recent years in order to turn a completely neglected castle (last time it was a grain store!) into this rural gem! Today the estate Schönwalde lives up to its name: idyllic place in the green!

We had booked the brunch on the 3rd Advent and arrived almost 45 minutes after the booked date due to a road block and some wrong drives. Nevertheless, we were very well received.

Wir hatten das Brunch am 3. Advent gebucht und trafen wegen einer Straßensperrung und einigen Falschanfahrten erst fast 45 Minuten nach dem gebuchten Termin ein. Wir wurden trotzdem sehr zuvokommend empfangen.

yesterday we have been back in the country estate for a long time and of course we were very nicely received and culinary spoiled! The blood sausage with mashed potatoes was just as delicate as the nettle soup and the "green stuff from the garden". The risotto was the best I got served north of Venice!
In addition there is the relaxed atmosphere in a rural idyll - in short: the country estate Schönwald is always worth an excursion - also as a bicycle tour (although we got soaked on the way back!).

wir waren gestern seit längerem einmal wieder im Landgut und wurden natürlich auch wieder sehr nett empfangen und kulinarisch auf das Feinste verwöhnt! Die Blutwurst mit Kartoffelbrei war ebenso delikat, wie die Brennnessel-Suppe und das "Grünzeug aus dem Garten". Das Risotto war das Beste, das ich geh nördlich von Venedig serviert bekam!
Dazu kommt die ungezwungenen Atmosphäre in ländlicher Idylle - Kurzum: das Landgut Schönwalds ist immer einen Ausflug wert - auch als Fahrrad-Tour (obwohl wir dann auf dem Rückweg gut durchnässt wurden!)

We were there, trying to reach someone by phone before. When we got there, the staff didn't know anything. After some inquiries it was explained that there is a society at the moment and therefore there is no breakfast. pity

Wir waren da, versuchten vorher jemanden telefonisch zu erreichen. Als wir dann dort waren, wusste das Personal nichts. Nach einigen Nachfragen wurde erklärt, dass es zur Zeit eine Gesellschaft gebe und es daher kein Frühstück gibt. Schade
