An original concert program for the whole family!

This program is created by four artists: The illustrator Till Runkel draws live to the music, the pianists Isabel Engelmann and Camille Phelep play the piano and the conductor Andreas Peer Kahler moderates the whole thing, telling of the Russian painter Viktor Hartmann and the (no longer existing) pictures of his legendary exhibition and of Modest Mussorgsky's famous music to these pictures.

He talks to the children in the audience, comments on the pictures he has just taken, thinks about what the next picture might look like - and after each piece of music, the children are allowed to hang the finished pictures on a clothesline stretched across the stage. At the end ten magnificent pictures of an exhibition can be seen there...

Reinickendorf Classics is an annual cultural event rich in tradition with a focus on classical music. With around 50 events between October and April, this event takes place in various venues. Already at the end of the 40's until the beginning of the 50's a lively concert life developed in Reinickendorf in the auditoriums of the Reinickendorf schools, which is enjoying increasing popularity among the visitors.
