Tickets for Museum 2for1

The history of the building and fall of the Berlin Wall is presented in multimedia and audio-visual form!

The museum presents documents and films never seen before and offers a single multimedia experience on over 100 screens: Experience the most exciting historical highlights when the Cold War ended and the world was saved.

In 13 thematically designed rooms, the museum spans an audiovisual arc from the end of the Second World War to the division of Germany and the Ulbrichts statement "Nobody intends to build a wall", why and how the wall was built - and how Germans in East and West suffered from it; partly illustrated with concrete mixers, barbed wire and the first wall elements.

The museum also commemorates the dead who died on the wall between 13 August 1961 and 9 November 1989. On a balcony overlooking the Spree, the fate of the children who drowned in the river not far from today's "East Side Gallery" is told.
