The musical-satirical Christmas program with Günter Rüdiger
Otto Pfützenreutter, born in Gardelegen in 1870, did not want to become a businessman, but an artist. He became famous in Berlin under the name Otto Reutter with his humorous couplets and pop songs. Decades later, Walter Plathe, son of a pianist from Reutter's time, was born in Berlin. He too was drawn to the stage instead of behind the counter. After training at drama school, he became famous for series such as Der Landarzt and Familie Dr. Kleist. Despite great TV success, Plathe remained loyal to the theater. His Otto Reutter evenings in particular made him a celebrated audience favorite and multiple award-winning actor.

Johannes Hallervorden took over as artistic director of the Thater am Frankfurter Tor in June 2023. The theater offers space for 99 spectators. The accompanying bar invites you to linger over a drink and chat about the event. The varied program of events includes cabaret, comedy, theater, readings and concerts.
