A play about bullying, courage and solidarity at Ostkreuz!
Kaja and IIvy - two girls like sisters. They grow up in the same house and discover their first love, parties - and drugs. Their friendship reaches its limits when Kaja slips further and further into the drug swamp and IIvy's attempts to save her fail. When Kaja disappears from a party, high on drugs, Ilvy and her friend Kaan set off in search of her. This reveals a life that IIvy knew nothing about.
We're taking back the night is a road movie, wild, anarchic and against all the rules. It's about drug addiction, co-dependency and loyalty in a friendship: how can you protect a loved one without losing yourself in the process?

Founded in 1987 as an independent theatre group, Theater Strahl has been staging two permanent stages in Berlin Schöneberg since the end of the 1990s, mainly with premieres, and since 2013 also in the STRAHL.Halle am Ostkreuz. Theater Strahl also goes on tour, makes guest appearances throughout Germany and internationally, and is repeatedly nominated and awarded theatre prizes.
