FRANZHANS 06: CHOPIN PUR played by Anna Pismak

Frédéric Chopin has been celebrated as a master of Romanticism for 200 years. The composer himself loved to sit for hours at the piano and play to himself. A pianist with brilliant technique, he not only operated the 88 keys, but "touched" them.

The pianist Anna Pismak was born in Saint-Petersburg and won her first international prizes at the age of 9. She now counts more than twenty of them in Russia, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, France and Portugal. She was selected as a recipient of the Swiss Federal Excellence Scholarship. Since her youth, she has also performed as a soloist with orchestras and has been invited by both Radio Geneva and Swiss Radio as a soloist for live broadcasts. She has been living in Switzerland for several years, where she has made her debut in the hall of the newly opened Tonhalle Zurich, among other venues. Since September 2021, Anna Pismak has been a member of the Orchestra Academy at the Zurich Opera House.
