Who are you when everyone is talking? The history of the Jewish Rothschild family has been overwritten by conspiracy myths and smear propaganda for centuries. Based on research and autobiographies, a different facet is now brought to the stage: fictitious but close to the facts, the choreographed theater evening tells of responsibility, discord and solidarity across generations: a European family saga.The focus is on four siblings who, in their own way, long to break out of the stories that are told about them and their family. They escape into nature, art or jazz, engage in politics, resist and try to hold together a family that is torn apart inside. Past and present are linked in their family stories: from emancipation from the Frankfurt ghetto to prosperity and the struggle for survival against the will to destroy from outside.
