At the beginning of the 1930s, thousands of homeless young people were living on the streets of Berlin. Some were victims of the precarious economic conditions; others had had their families destroyed and shattered by the First World War. They find a little security and social warmth in self-organized cliques. This ensemble production is an interplay between humans and puppets and shows how history can become fictional through memory.Blood brothers have to be sharp and cunning, cunning and, when in doubt, activate all their strength at lightning speed in order to resist. Blood brothers are not just communities of convenience or chance, but seek the support and warmth they long for in their cliques: To be equals among equals! Setting the rules themselves! It is the only way to regain sensitivity and to allow the power of rejection to emerge from the unbearable suffering that comes with powerlessness, humiliation and subjugation. The strength and power they feel feels liberating - nothing can stop them.
