Can humanity remain as it is? In this Hamlet science fiction, it is conceivable. Science offers two options: almost everyone sets off to a distant place, into space. Where they can carry on as before. Others stay on Earth to live in harmony with nature without the achievements of civilization. What is there to gain and for whom?

The countdown is on and Paul has long since made up his mind. He's live on the radio, on the phone with his mother, packing what's important and dithering about his future. He looks for his hand luggage. He abandons his dog Heinzl in the forest. In a multimedia self-interrogation, he spirals into a rousing whirlwind of procrastination: What about those who remain on earth? And why? Why not? What if? But what if not? Would you dare to make a radical new start? What would you be prepared to give up?
