TD Berlin: Tornado

Thermoboy FK inspired by the computer game classic Age of Empires II, LED light magic and surreal architecture are used to build a city that defies all logic. With the full force of fiction, they write their city history as it could have been. ThermoCity is created from poetry, found objects and music. In it they explore the construction of temporary communities and ask themselves together with the audience: How do we want to live?

or in other words: A moment of bloom. A structure in which anything seems possible. And so, that magical constellation already contains an inkling of its transience. Literature, art, and music of ThermoCity know this then, as well as today and in the future. Before our events got rolling. If at all can be called events. And if it was rolling, and not stumbling. Or even a fall. /p>

Thermoboy FK once again create theatre out of their longing for modern mythology. They invent future, past or parallel worlds and tell stories of living together as a group, of changing identities and of losing and regaining innocence. For this purpose they build houses, landscapes, gardens - or even a whole city: ThermoCity - and move back and forth between fiction and theatre space.

With AGE OF EMPATHY II they ask in front of the signs of our present: When we talk about history, how much literature is in history? And how can we develop a common future in a heterogeneous community?
