On a cold winter's day, when the snow is particularly thick, Kai receives a visit from the Snow Queen. Her soulless coldness takes possession of his heart and she carries him off into her freezing cold realm. But the Snow Queen has not reckoned with the courageous Gerda, who leaves no stone unturned in her search for her beloved Kai. An adventurous, enchanting and dangerous journey lies ahead of her, leading her to the enchanted spring garden, to the festival of the Summer Princess and in the autumn storms into the hands of a band of robbers, until she finally reaches the icy palace of the Snow Queen. Whether Gerda succeeds in saving Kai, you will learn in the always touching story of the Snow Queen with in-depth, wonderful music.
